Will a Nikon d3100 have this effect? I'm planning on buying one?

I really want it, the 'one colour' effect looks amazing, but i don't know what type of camera it is, or what effect, anyone know? Or what lens or filter it is?

Are you saying that you want a fully adjustable camera like the D3100 to have features of a P&S camera? Once you leave the P&S arena, all effects are usually dependent upon you using a program like Photoshop.

Yes, some dSLR have a retouching menu for making changes in the camera, but they are rudimentary and can't compete with the retouching ability of a full photo program like Photoshop
