Which lens could I use on a Nikon d5000 for regular pics?

Dr. Iblis
1.define regular
anyway, the supplied kit lens (18-55mm) or a prime 50mm (f/1.8 or f/1.4) would be good at doing "regular" pics

I use the Nikon 35mm f1.8 DX lens on my D90 almost all the time. If you are shooting in low light, it's superb!

Any of the lenses that encompass the 'standard' range, so lenses including about 20mm to 50mm.
