Hi! I'm looking into purchasing a D5100, primarily because I'm going to be doing extensive traveling in the next year and I want to be able to take nature/landscape shots.

Anyways, Best Buy is offering the D5100 for 650 with an 18-55 mm lens. They are also offering it for 800 with a 55-200 mm lens.

On the other hand, Costco is offering it for 900 WITH a 4gb sd card, a camera case, camera guides, an 18-55mm lens AND a 55-300 mm lens.

It's hard for me to decide, simply because I'm not as familiar with lenses as I should be. I've done some research on the matter, but I would LOVE extra opinions.

Start with £480 with the 18-55mm lens from Jessops:

Then £180 for the 55-200mm from Harrison Cameras

And buy yourself a couple of 16GB cards from Amazon for £7.43 each:

The 55-300 is longer, but more expensive and not a fast focusing lens.

Nikon D5100 16.2MP CMOS Digital SLR Camera is my first SLR camera, and it took a lot of research to decide on this one.It. In the top three greatest purchases I Have ever made! Besides the obvious factors of upgrading from a 5 MP Sony cyber shot, this thing just simply amazes me at the clarity and definition of the photos. I have fell in love with the auto-bracketing feature to create HDR shots. I have yet to try the video however, so when I do I will update the post.
