Which DSLR you would pick?
Which one would you pick:
sony alpha 550
sony alpha 200
nikon d5000:)
Nikon. Then again, I'm a Nikon fan boy…
Nikon - cos at least it has an industry standard hotshoe…
Nikon. You'll get a better camera and lenses.
Many people don't know it but Sony alpha are really Minolta bodies with Sony electronic (Sony bought Minolta).
Minolta was always far behind Nikon and Canon, and I never liked Minolta's cameras, lenses and that you can't use other flash units on their dedicated hotshoe.
Nikon. I currently have a nikon d40 that i bought a couple years ago as an entry level dlsr just to see if i would really like it and i absolutely love it. Now i'm considering upgrading a bit and looking at the d5000 or the d90.so go with the d5000. Also i've heard that sony doesn't have the greatest dslr cameras, at least according to a pro photographer that i had talked to but who knows.
The newest Nikon entry, the D3100
The A200 is old and things have improved considerably since then, it is also more limited in
features, because it was quite entry level.
Between the A550 and D5000 you're going to have to make a choice:
- If you want video, then the Nikon it is as the A550 simply does not do it.
- Otherwise the A550 is more advanced: higher sensitivity, faster frame rate, higher-resolution
and almost twice the battery life. It also has a slightly larger viewfinder and much higher
resolution LCD, which makes it more comfortable to shoot and review images with.
You can consider Nikon D5000 12.3MP Dx Digital SLR camera
