Which DSLR is better: Sony A300L or Nikon d5000?

Tests and specs say the D5000. Which has been replaced by the D5100 which is a MUCH worthwhile upgrade.

The Sony looks better in specs, but look at the satisfaction level of Nikon and Sony owners here.

Both are entry level DSLR's, but I think you'll find the Nikon or a Canon XS will take you further. Another model to consider would be the new Nikon D3100.

With this information, you should be able to make a good choice and I agree, the D5100 is a better choice than the D5000
