Which Camera Should I Choose? - 2

I'm buying my first SLR camera and I'm torn between the nikon d5100 and the canon 550d

The main difference for me is that the nikon doesn't have built in autofocus. Hence the lenses I buy are limited to the AF-S and AF-I if i want to use autofocus which are supposed to be more expensive than their canon counterparts.

what should i do?

Go to Cameralabs.com for detailed review of 600D vs D5100, should give you an idea of how 600D and 550D compares to D5100. 600D is basically same as 550D the only difference is minor like swivel LCD and some other features.

So despite the AF issue, you're still confused?

If yo get the Canon there's no worry about autofocus because all Canon EF and EF-S (ie all curent Canon lenses) have in-lens autofocus.
If you don't want to be confused - go Canon!

Recommended you to consider Canon EOS Rebel T3i. It's light camera, easy to use, excellent image and video. A perfect camera for beginners and for whom bought a first LSR camera.

Both are exactly the same and both are from the two big brands of digital industry… Both have some pros and cons so none of them is better… Go to a store and catch hold both of them in your hands and decide which feels more comfortable in your hands. You can also check some websites like-dpreview.com, what digital camera, photography blog, imaging resources… And even check some youtube videos
