Which camera filters do I buy for my Nikon D3000?
I bought some filters from best buy, but they did not fit my lens. How do I pick out the right size and how do I attach them?
If you look on the front end of the lens, you will see the filter size you need. For example: Φ77mm. Φ72mm, etc.
Most filters just screw on to the front of the lens.
For the 18-55mm VR kit lens, the answer is 52mm.
Too bad it's too late.Next time read about it all.
Take a look at the front of your lens. Is it 18-55? Then I'm 100% it's a 58mm diameter and basically filter for this size is really cheap (and good too!)
I recommend it to buy from Amazon, cheapest and best and well, here's a guide on buying a filter
