I have a Nikon d3400 and I was looking for some new filters. Does anyone know some filters I can get for my camera to enhance my photos?

Filters don't "enhance" photos.

Their main purpose is to block certain wavelengths of light to produce certain effects.

A neutral density (and) filter fairly evenly reduces all wavelengths,
allowing longer exposures with wider apertures.

Polarizing filters can eliminate some types of problematic reflections.

Infrared filters admit mostly infrared wavelengths while blocking most normal light.

Close-up lenses attach like filters and are sometimes grouped with them as a category.

Special-effect lenses make 'star', multi-image, or geometric patterns
(all of which get very tiring very fast) or other 'tricks'.

You need to know the thread size of the lens (most are marked) before you buy filters.

If you go to a local camera shop, take your camera along and see what each type of filter does.

Spacemissing is correct.

The only filter you really need is either an NC or UV filter to protect your lenses front elements from sticky fingers.

and and polarizing filters have their place, however, they are specialty filters and usually you buy them for use on one of your lenses.

The ONLY way to enhance your photos is to learn the fundamentals of photography, lighting and composition. This can take years, so do not become impatient. Your D3400 is fully capable of producing brilliant images, but it is up to you, the photographer to know how to use it
