What weather can a Nikon D3000 be in?

Natalia
I have a Nikon D3000 and I would like to take it out for some winter night shots.
Is it okay to take it in below freezing weather?
Any personal experiences?

Your owners manual will give you an idea on this. I wouldn't keep it out in that kind of weather for very long. Nor under damp conditions.

I've had both my D60 and D90 out in not only sub-freezing weather but very very cold weather. I took a 30 minute star trail photo in about -20 degree weather. It didn't seem to have any effect on the operation of the camera.
Keep it out of rain.
