What to get next for my Nikon D3100

I love taking pictures, but i'm in no way a photographer! I'm 15 and a swimmer and most of the time i just take pics at swim meets, and tons of my friends and stuff! I have 2 lenses, the one that came with the camera (18-55mm) and the 55-22mm i can't decide 2 things, 1, what is the next thing i should get, a lens, flash, etc., and 2, if i do get a lens which one should i get!

Get a good book about the basic principles of photography. From there you would learn exactly what to get next for your camera.

Accounts with some online photographer forums and start learning before you start buying stuff that you might not need. Gear breaks down to what you are shooting and when you are shooting it.

If you really what to buy something though, I suggest a good comfortable neck strap and make sure to use it. Those keep you from dropping the camera and breaking it or the lens. Say it will never happen and then go visit a camera repair shop.

Nikon 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR AF-S Nikkor Zoom Lens is a very nice product indeed. I have it paired with a D3100 and the combo is proving very capable. With the range going from 42mm to 450mm on the DX cams it covers an awesome range. At its widest setting the lens is not all that long and when fully zoomed it does double in length but its smooth throughout and seems very sharp.
