What should i adjust my camera for Nikon D60?
I would like to take portrait photos in the Hotel.
I'm using Nikon D60.
How should I adjust my camera during the shoot to ensure that the quality taken is the best.
What is the best len to use for shooting portraits in hotel?
What are the things i need to take note with regards to shooting portrait in hotel? Lighting, lens etc?
Typical portrait lens lengths go from about 50mm to 135mm. Most people try to use an 85mm but there are no hard and fast rules. As far as lighting goes, it is going to depend. I like to go light so I probably would use a nice flash ( not the outboard one) and maybe a bounce or reflector. If the hotel is particularity dark, then definitely I want to bring a fast prime of some sort (f2.00 or better).
As said before, it really is going to depend on what your photographic objectives are, lighting situation at the hotel, and your personal work style.

I think you should go with Nikon 85mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras
Portable medium telephoto lens that is ideal for indoor and outdoor portraits
Rear Focusing system for fast and smooth optical performance
Subtle blurring of background for beautifully natural and evocative portraits
High-speed f1.8 aperture
Compact and lightweight at 13.2 ounces
