What's better? (SD Card)?

I finally got a Nikon D5000 coming from the United States.
I live in a 3rd world country so, buying Sony SD cards are expensive.

Which is more convenient?
One 8GB SD card?
Two 2GB SD cards? (First SanDisk and Second Sony)
or
One 4GB SD card and one 2GB SD? (Both generic)

With my old camera I take at least 200 pictures, but keep only 30-100
I shoot in highest quality setting and use RAW.

I don't know how many megapixels your camera has but when I shoot RAW each photo is at least 20MB, this is much more than the 6MB of a JPEG. That is 50 photos per 1 GB. So you will definitely want an 8GB SD card if you only shoot RAW.

If you shoot JPEG, 2 4GB cards would be better.

I also recommend Class 6 cards or higher for photography and Class 10 or UHS Class 1 cards for videography.

Wait and buy your memory cards here in the States. 4 gb cards cost less than $12 when on sale. I carry six 2 gb cards for shooting products, eight 4 gb and four 8 gb cards for shooting sports. Next time someone comes from the States to visit you, have them bring memory cards If you don't already have UV filters to protect your lens from sticky fingers, buy one for each lens as well

Shooting RAW is an excellent idea.
