What photo editing software can I buy with a Nikon D3000?

I see some that say only a student/teacher is allowed to use the program and you have to verify that you can use it after you buy it.

I need a good program to edit my photos. I'm not a student at this time and not a teacher. I'm 24yrs old

When you refer to student / teacher version of softwares, that is for school academics, and versions are cheaper than commercial business versions,
