What lens would be good to go with my Nikon d70?

I just bought my first digital slr camera and just want opinions on lenses to go withhh it.

Added (1). Yeah, just a general purpose lens, i was thinking a 18-70mm nikon lens but i want to get it second hand because i have a limited buget, say under $200 if thats possible for a second hand lens.

It depends on what you want to shoot. Landscapes? Portraits? Macro? Sports? Or if you just bought the camera body only with no lens, do you need a general purpose lens?

Add some more of those details and also include how much you want to spend.

Any lense that will work on your camera and does what you want it to do.
Do you want a lens that is good for portraits, macro, landscapes or what?
You need to be specific for people to give you an opinion on what lens you want/need/is best for a particular style/type of photography.

If you already have the 18-55mm kit lens, then that should do it. Yes, $200 is enough for a secondhand lens but check and test rigorously. Check this link for a crash course on lenses.
