What lens do i need to buy for a Nikon D3200?
Should i go for the Nikkor 18-55mm + 55-300mm, or should i buy the Nikkor 18-105mm? I have no idea what to think about the Sigma/Tamron lenses.
My Experiences: When I re-entered the DSLR area coming from previous film cameras, I purchased the camera (Pentax) with the usual 18-55mm lens. It makes no sense to buy a body only and THEN add lenses.
I made the mistake of thinking as many of us do and purchased a 18-200 Tamron lens as a one size fits all uses lens. This lens got extremely heavy to carry for more than 20 minutes. And the 11x14 print quality left me disappointed. (I use 11x14 size to test for quality). I sold the Tamron and purchased the Pentax 50-200mm lens. This lens is physically about the same size as the 18-55mm. The quality is outstanding and I'm a happy camper as a result. The lens sizes for your Nikon may not be exactly as I have BUT I would recommend getting as close as possible to what I did.
I'd send you towards the D5100 over the D3200… It's everything you need and more than likely all the camera you'll ever need.
The 18-105 is the lens that I recommend to 'newbies'… It's what I have permanently attached to my D5100 ant it covers me for most of my shots… I carry other cameras with prime lenses the D5100 gets used for shots that I need to grab in a hurry… Shots that my other kit won't cover… Or shots that i'm just not prepared for.
You might have more fun with the 18-55 and 55-300… It would be worth your time reading a photography guide book… Try the local library it won't cost you anything… You'll get an idea of what the lenses can do… And you can make your own mind up.
I carry a 60-300mm lens and very rarely use it… So have a really good think about your lenses… I use the 18-105 a lot.
Start with the 18-55mm and work from there.
Who is selling you a D3200 body without a lens. Nikon does make some models of camera available for those who have lenses or who have plans to upgrade lenses. However most people who do that spring for D5XXX or D7XXX bodies. But because buyers of the beginner model D3XXX cameras so rarely do, I don't think they distribute a body-only package with them.
What purpose was it for you to buy nikon 3100? Lenses depends on the purpose of the camera to be used with…
Never buy a DSLR body only, because the DSLR camera are noting without their lenses.
always put your budget near you and think in getting a DSLR camera and at less one lens.
the truth is that you need to buy also a memory cards (for have a big capacity to save your pictures), a bag for protect your camera when travel or after finish from using it…
The best lens for begin is 18-55 mm, it's have low price because the company made so much from it. So it's a good quality lens who help your camera to provide good image quality.
