What Kind of Sync Cord Would I Need For My Camera & Flash?
I want to start working with off-camera lighting photography soon, but can't seen to be able to trigger my flash from long distances like I want. I tried some wireless methods, but have found them not as reliable as I'd like. I have looked into sync cords before but I'm not sure what type I would need, so I never actually purchased any.
The camera is a Nikon D3000
The flash is a Nikon SB-25
Nikon SC-28 or SC-29 cords.http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/300477-REG/Nikon_4765_SC_28_TTL_Remote_Cord.html or the much cheaper off-brand version http://www.bhphotovideo.com/...d_for.html
You do know that there are several issues with your gear…
1. The flash is not an i-TTL flash… And will not work properly with your camera.
2. Your camera does not have a flash controller built in, so the only wireless options you have are optical or radio. Radio would be the way to go with your setup. It's cheap, and it works well.
