What kind of nikon cameras do you prefer?

I really want a Nikon camera. This is my first one actually handling one though. What kinds of Nikons do you prefer? Do you think the Nikon D5100 Digital will be okay?

that is a great camera if you have the money, if you have the money though the Nikon d7000 shoots 1080p video with full time auto focus and takes great images… That's pretty impressive
