What Image quality should i use on my Nikon D3000?

I'm setting up my Nikon D3000 and was wondering what the best format was to shoot in?

NEF (RAW) + JPEG BASIC
NEF (RAW)
JPEG FINE
JPEG NORMAL
JPEG BASIC

Use JPEG FINE or NORMAL.
Fine will give slightly better quality than normal at the cost of larger file size.
Normal is slightly worse quality than Fine with the benefit of smaller file size.
Take a shot in fine and normal and compare the images. If you can't tell the difference, then use normal. Most people can't tell the difference between the two.

NEF is a raw format which requires special software to render a usable image. If you like fiddle with your images in post processing, this is a good format.

Forget RAW. You most probably won't need those very huge files. Use fine all the time.
