What DSLR is right for me

I'm looking for a digital SLR camera that would be right for me. I'm looking to spend $800 and under, preferably under. I love photography and making videos. I currently have a regular camera that is 16 mega-pixels so i'm looking for something higher than tthat or egual to it if its worth it. Also, very good video quality as in 1080p is mandatory. ***This feature isn't mandatory but definatley a luxury: a flip out screen. I've been looking at the Nikon D3200 but i've hear its not as good as it seems. Also, I'm not very interested in the Canon T3i because everyone has it and I want something different.

Higher MP count does not = better image quality! The 12MP D3s ($4, 000) will destroy the 20+MP D3200.
Whoever told your that the 3200 isn't a good camera is either an idiot or a Canon fanboy. Go to a local camera shop and try out the D5100, D3200, T3i and Pentax K-X. Since you want a less-common camera, the excellent K-X would be a good choice.
Regardless of what camera you buy, you'll also need a genuine spare battery, 2 or 3 8GB Class 10 SDHC cards, a card reader, a case and a few basic photography books.

I'm not giving much information but from what i have heard you pay a lot for pixels and to get more than 16 will set you back quite a tad.
To get more then that will cost quite a fudge load.

You heard wrong. The Nikon D3200 is currently the best camera available in that price range.
Think of what YOU wnat, and not worry about what anyone else uses.

Maybe "everyone" has the T3i because it is a good camera!
That said the Nikon D3200 is its equal.
PS "everyone" does not have the T3i - I don't for one!
