What camera lens should I use?

So I have a photography gig, at my friends bands concert but I'm a bit of an amateur. I have the Nikon d3100, and I have the standard lens and the VR zoom. Could I someone tell me which lens would be best to use?

Which lens you use will be based upon how far you are from the stage and which lenses you have. The faster the lens the better.

You will need to use a high ISO like 3200 if you are shooting at night or indoors. You also need to set your white balance to incandescent to match the lighting on the stage.
