What camera for a begginer photographer?

I've been looking at a few cameras and would like to start photography. I like taking photos of places, landscape and mostly focused on photos etc; I don't know much about DSLR cameras but I've found a few which I think are good, are cameras better for megapixels?
Could you please tell me which camera would be best for me, out of these please.
- PANASONIC DMC-G2KEB-K
- Canon EOS 1100D
- Nikon D3100
- PENTAX PENTAX KR
- Fujifilm FinePix HS20
- Sony A33
They are cameras that I've seen on websites.
I'm looking for a camera around £200-£400 so if you have ideas please tell me, but I would like a good DSLR camera that can focus on a certain thing, eg- a flower and blur the background. I've seen photos like that where the background is all grainy and ones where it is like smudged and I prefer the smudged ones, so a camera that does that with a 18-55mm lens.thanks
(UK cameras please)

Added (1). Guys- I'm so so sorry about all the camera questions. I'm so intrested and am looking into getting a new camera I just can't wait! Thanks so much for taking the time to answer all these questions!

All the dSLR's can be used by beginners to learn photography

The P&S cameras, not so much.

* no control
* small sensor
* non-interchangeable lens

The marketing memo that suggests that the more pixels the better, is just that and has no basis in fact.

I have a Canon EOS rebel xsi, and it's a great camera capable of the complete line of canon lenses, or any aftermarket lenses with canon mounts. It's capable of professional photos, and can be had for 8 or 9 hundred bucks, and comes with 2 lenses. Usually with an 18-55, and a 75-300 zoom. It has live view function, mirror lock up, and hundreds of other settings, including portrait settings, landscape setting, night photo setting indoor setting, built in flash. This camera would be the perfect starter camera for you. Add a 055xprob Manfrotto tripod, and a Manfrotto 496RC2 or larger ball head, and you will be well on your way to being a professional photographer.
