What are good lenses for a Nikon D3000?

I have a Nikon D3000 and I want to purchases some new lenses. What are some good lenses and where to purchase them?

If you don't have a telephoto lens (long zoom) like a 55-200mm that is a good place to start.
Another great suggestion is the Nikon "Nifty 50" it is a 50mm f/1.8 fixed focal length, which is great pictures in low light.
