I need help with our Nikon d500, well this camera belongs to my mom and her husband, and ever since it always has blurred photos, she said they had it for 2 years now, and because of that they don't use it that much, and i feel bad because i know that this is a good camera, we just don't know how to fix it. I'll appreciate your help guys.

On some modern cameras you depress the shoot button half way and wait for the camera to automatically focus. Once it has done this you depress the button fully to take the picture. Some cameras give you some form of indication on the screen to let you know that focus has completed. Have you tried to download the instruction manual?

If one is getting blurry pictures, it is almost always the fault of the photographer

go out in bright sunlight, put the camera on auto, and shoot around. If you get good pictures, you know it is her fault, and not the camera's

No offense, but this sounds like you're not holding the camera still enough. If you are shooting in an area with low amounts of light, you'll either need to 1) use the flash 2) crank up the ISO, or 3) use a tripod… But if you're getting blurry shots when you have lots of light, the aperture might be closed down too much or perhaps the camera is actually broken… Or maybe the lens/camera is set to manual focus or the autofocus on the lens is broken. Go to your local camera shop and have them take a look at it.

Perhaps you need to increase your ISO (Shutter speed). The term shutter speed represents the time that the shutter remains open when taking a photograph. The higher the ISO the faster the shutter speed. The lower the ISO the slower the shutter speed. You want to use higher ISO if you don't have a tripod, because your hand is always moving. So try using a shutter speed of 1600, hope that helps.
