Want to buy this nikon lens for my nikon dslr?

I can't afford a digital 35mm lens for my Nikon D70 so I found a used Nikon 35 - 70mm Lens 1:3.3 - 4.5 and it's a steal price, but it's for film Nikons. Will it still work with my DSLR or will my DSLR not have autofocus with it?

The AF 35-70 will work, it was considered a bit of a dog for film but might be better on the smaller digital sensor. Best "sleeper" in my opinion is the 28-80 1:3.5-5.6 G a lot of bang for the buck, I got my first one as a "kit" lens with my D50 for ten bucks over body only price--Nikon was dumping them since they were made for the cheap film bodies, and got my second one for free with my used D70 (he couldn't find a body cap so threw the lens on the body to keep dust off the sensor on my trip home)!

If it's an auto-focus lens it should work fine.

Skip that and get the 35-70mm f2.8 lens used instead. While it will work the f/2.8 is much better optically
