Update my camera or lens for autofocus?
So I have the nikon d3000 and the 50mm 1.8D which does not autofocus with my camera.
I want autofocus, so i'm deciding between:
Option 1 - buying the 50mm 1.4G which WILL autofocus but is costly (and selling my 1.8)
Option 2 - buying a new camera, which will also be costly, but will autofocus with my 1.8 (like the nikon d90) and selling my nikon d3000.
If you are considering to purchase more lenses, especially the less expensive ones that do not have a built in af motor, then Option 2 will be more cost effective in the long run.
If you do not think you would be buying anymore lenses in the future, then go with Option 1.
