I'm planning to buy a nikon d50 (secondhand) and there are two i'm trying to choose between.one comes with a AF-S DX 18-55mm lens and the camera's shutter count is around 6500 while the other camera comes with two lenses, a Nikon AF Nikkor 35mm-70mm 1: 3.3-4.5 lens and a Tamron AF Aspherical LD 28mm-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 lens but i'm not sure of the shutter count, i only know that the seller bought the camera from a friend who she said takes very good care of his belongings and she has hardly used the camera. The price of this one is $100 higher than the other. Which would be the better buy? Thank you!

Added (1). Is 6500 a good number for a secondhand camera?

Being a "sure thing" kind of guy who doesn't like risk I'd go for the known shutter count - if in fact you can verify that shutter count. The 18-55 is the standard kit lens but it's a good lens. Not as good as the 18-200 but a good lens.

Also I own a Tamron 18-200 and there are certain conditions where it has issues like searching for focus and aberrations so I don't recommend Tamron.

6500 for a D50 is nice, that cam should be good for another 10000 at the very least.

The nikon 35-70 is a surprisingly capable little lens, it's also not wide at all on a d50 and it sells for about $50 used.
The tamron is an unknown, a lot of those were very, very poor lenses but some turned out very good.
