Tripod Suggestion for DSLR stabilizer?

I have a nikon dslr camera D3100, if I use a tripod type of product Sony VCT-50AV can it support the functions behind the tripod? Among the functions of the tripod as zoom in / out, video recording and slow zoom. I want to use a tripod to shoot video. Or, is there a tripod that can support functions such as Sony tripod? I want a tripod that can stabilize the video.

That tripod seems to include a sony remote control. That does not work with a nikon. There's no tripod that has a built-in nikon remote. Any tripod will stabilise video, after all, that's what these things are made for.
