Sony cameras are under rated?

Its been like weeks and i have been watching so many reviews to buy my first ever dslr. I made up my mind for the d3100. But i came across the dslr which is sony a33 which is like so much better than the d3100. But the problem is thatt people have made there minds to buy dslrs of canon and nikon. On the other hand sony dslrs offer so much more at the same price. Many ppl would answer saying sony have less lenses. But since i'm a begginer i don't care about lenses all i wnt is a kit lens and maybe later i will get a prime lens! I think sony is the best dslr company for begginers and budget. Do you guys agree with me or am i wrong?
Sorry for some incorrect english.

If you like Sony, then get one. But for most photographers, Sony is a real late-comer, and they just don't have the experience as a company to compete with Nikon and Canon.
But Sony does make some of Nikon's sensors…

Kid, if you're dyslectic install a spell checking plug in.
The A33 is not a DSLR, the mirror does not even move. It has an electronic viewfinder which most people despise and with good reason. The battery life is about a 3rd of what entry level canons or nikons get.
Anyone who buys a DSLR does so running the risk that he or she gets serious about photography. Then it's nice not to have to change systems.
Personally I also have my doubts about the long term commitment of Sony. Their alpha series seems to be dying out slowly and recently their nex line has been getting most of the R&D dollars.
I'll grant you one thing, sony is very good at making cameras with specs that appeal to the clueless buyer. High megapixels, high fps, that build-in stabilizer that allows people the illusion that lenses will be cheaper because of it.

There's specs - and there's reality.
First of all, the Sony A33, like all the current Sony's doesn't use a standard DSLR setup where a mirror flips out of the way the instant the image is captured. Instead, Sony uses a semi-transparent mirror. In an SLR or DSLR, the photographer sees through the lens. The Sony cameras use a tiny lcd screen. Basically, you're watching a small tv screen as you compose your shot. The major shortcoming is that the Sony cameras divert 30% of the light from the subject so you can see it on this tiny screen. Result? Only 70% of the light passing through the lens gets to the digital sensor. It's like wearing tinted glasses indoors or at night. Either you increase the ISO, open up the aperture more, use a slower shutterspeed, or add flash. One way or another, you have to compensate for this design flaw.
Bottomline, Nikon & Canon are the cameras you see on the line when photojournalists, sports & wedding photographers, and fashion shooters make their living. And, you must look at the most recent JD Powers Customer Satisfaction Survey for DSLR's. Please note that Sony ranks at the bottom of the pile.
