I just got a new Nikon D3000 and?

This sounds silly, but when i take pictures of outside, the snow falling down doesn't like really show up, how can i make it show? Haha.

Turn the flash on (force flash) in Program Mode.

It could also be that they blend into the background and they are out of focus. Turn to manual focus and focus closer (the autofocus will not pick up snowflakes).
