Shutter speed and aperture? Nikon D5000?
I'm doing a photoshoot later with my friend, it's going to be Autumn-themed. One of the picture's I've planned would be with leaves falling all around her. But I'm kind of stuck on how to get this photo. Could someone help me with shutter speed and aperture for this? I have a Nikon D5000. Also, would you get the model to throw the leaves, or would you throw the leaves over her?
Your shutter speed and aperture are going to depend heavily on the quality of light you have outside.you're going to want the leaves in focus, so I'd use a wide aperture (low number like maybe 4.5) and then play with a fast shutter speed until you get a nice exposure. Then make an attempt at getting the leaves to look right.
You can throw the leaves over her, or have her do it herself. Actually I'd do it both ways, as both will give you very different images, that way you'll have many options to chose from.
