Should I start a YouTube?

Ok. So I've been thinking about starting a YouTube channel. I have a Nikon d3200 and I've had a lot of experience with social media ex: Instagram, tumblr, etc. And I've had 14k on Instagram with "tumblr" pictures, oh god I regret that phase. And I have 2k currently on Instagram because my 14k got disabled. I'm a 13 year old and I saw that someone that was 13 (Ella elbells) monetizes her videos. I thought you had to be 18? Is this true? Obviously I have some experience. But I'm kindve scared of what my parents will say. I think that they will say yes considering I have told them about my Instagram and such. I'm also kindve scared that the people at my school will make fun of me. Will they?

Go for it, just be aware future employers may see your work. If you regret tumblr, imagine having a YouTube with the potential of millions viewing your videos.

And yes, you can monetize under 18, but only with parent approval and their bank acct for the monies to be deposited into.

By all means if it is something you love to do and have a passion do it. Just remember what gets posted can be seen by many so make sure its appropriate and nothing you'd regret. Then to talk with your parents just come out and say it's something I like to do and I bet they would understand because mine did. You can get partnered and monetize your videos but you need your parents to have their adsense account approved and linked to your channel so they can pay to their bank account since you're under the age of 18.
