Should I sell my Nikon d3100 for 400?
I've been trying to sell my camera for a while. I finally dropped the price to 450 but someone wants it for 400.It's practically new no blemishes whatssoever, I have the box usb cable, charger, battery, 2gb memory card, kit lens and training dvd.
You don't mention where you are trying to sell your camera. It has been my experience that either Craig's list or eBay yields the best results. Craig's List is basically cost free. It is a fact of life that even if you give your camera away someone will want a steak dinner to go with it! So price it, $50 or $100 over your bottom line. It is called "bragging rights". Everybody likes to say they got a good deal! The guy wanted "xxx" for it and I chiseled him down to "xx".In effect, he is saying aren't I a great bargainer? Ebay is a lot trickier. Read the rules well. It has been my experience that eBay's shipping calculator is not worth a darn (insert cuss word here!). Find out what shipping would be at an extreme. I live on the West coast of the USA. I find out what it would cost to ship to the East coast and include that figure for shipping cost. I do not ship out of USA. I check like items and even follow them to conclusion for pricing information.
Hope this has helped a bit!
P.S. I dumpster dive for a shipping box and packing peanuts.cost=free!
