Should I just buy a new battery?
The other day, I got a Nikon D40X, used but in wonderful condition. The camera itself is flawless, works and looks like new and even came with an 18x70mm lens. The only problem is, the battery won't hold a charge at all. I went out shooting yesterday and could only go to two of the ten sites i picked out before I had to go home and put the battery on to charge. It was only about ten minutes (a little less than ten but more than five) of shooting. Is there some method to maybe bring the battery back to life, or should I just get a new one? If so, does anyone recommend any brand or type of battery?
Once they're shot, they're shot. Go for an official Nikon. They're only about $20.
I would buy two. It's nice to have an extra battery. Try B&H, adorama, amazon or ebay. Make sure the battery will work in your camera befor you order.
I bought a battery pack for my camera.kinda spendy but i never run out of juice anymore.best thing i ever bought was that battery pack. It holds 2 batteries
