Shooting Basketball Indoors?

I have a Nikon d40 with a 200 mm lens, a 35 mm lens, and an 18-105 mm lens. I have never shot a basketball game before and I heard it's difficult to shoot pictures because of the lighting. Any ideas on what I should do?

Auto white balance for the indoor lighting. Use a fast lens. Its probably not good to use flash photography, so your ISO is going to be slightly high.

The lighting varies greatly between venues. It usually means high ISO settings to get a reasonable shutter speed for the action.
Uneven lighting can be problem, not obvious to most people but this can limit where on the court you should shoot.
