Rough estimate for a used nikon d3000?
Does anyone know how much money i would get if i sold a nikon d3000 with the 18-55 kit lens to a camera store?
The camera is in pretty good condition outside ( i would say like new ) Their is a problem with dust inside the view finder- but that does not affect picture quality… So. Does anyone know how much id get or can somone give me a rough estimate thank you
To a camera store, not as much as if you could sell it to an individual. Stores have to make a profit to stay open so I'd guess, if it's in excellent condition, no marks, dings and junk like that. If everything on the camera works as it should. If the batteries and charger are as they should be and if the shutter count isn't too high you might $200. If you sell it to an individual you may get $350 or so.
From a camera store like B&H you might get $250. B&H shows a brand new D3000 for $449.00, a refurbished D3000 for $399.95 and a used D3000 body for $299.95. You'd probably get more selling it on Craigslist.
Finding the current worth of things is easy these days. Go into eBay and click on the Advanced search (right of the search box), when it opens enter your description (Nikon D3000), check the 'Completed Listings' box and hit Search, it will return with all the auctions for the last month or so showing the price they got, if the price is in green it sold, if in red it didn't.
It's around £250 - £300 here in the UK.
