Used Rebel XTi SLR camera vs New Nikon D3000?

I'm looking to upgrade to a DSLR, I'm just debating a new vs used. The used would be less expensive and and come with accessories such as memory cards, camera bag, ect, whereas new would just come with the usual (including a lens). So what do you think: Used Rebel XTi vs. New Nikon D3000?

I think you should buy a new camera - that is, unless you know the seller personally. Do you?
If not don't. Too many risks.

Always buy new. I'd also recommend the Canon t3, an excellent camera that also does video for about the same money as the Nikon.

I have an XTi and it's a very good camera. If it's in good condition, and the right price, it would be a good one.

I prefer to buy unused thing, because they are of the best quality. I would rather buy new Nikon D3000, but that's just my opinion.

I shoot Nikon but with the two, I may get the Rebel depending on its used condition.
But better get a new D3100.It's worth the additional cost.

You are on the right lines. Try them both, see what you prefer. They are both excellent.

Just make sure that the Used Camera is functioning well and know also the reason why he or she is selling the used camera. But to be safe, I suggest that you better buy brand new camera.
