Recommended Lens for nikon?
I have a nikon d3100 and i was just wondering if anyone on here knows of a good fisheye or macro lens that works fine with my camera.price limit for each lens is probably around £200?
A good fisheye is out of your budget, but look at the Nikon 40mm micro lens. It is an inexpensive macro that is at the high end of your budget, and works pretty well.
However, compared to more traditional macro lenses, such as a 105mm lens, you have to get awfully close to your subject. So it may not be appropriate for bugs that can be scared off by the lens being close.
I have two macro lenses; the Nikon 40mm and a Tokina 100mm. While they are both true 1:1 macro lenses, I favor the Nikon when I'm on travel as it packs lighter.
However, due to the short focal length of the 40mm, it is not practical to get as close (even though it is a true 1:1 macro), so for less than extreme close ups, the 40mm is sufficient. But for the best macro shots, I go to the Tokina.
Unfortunately, the Tokina is over your budget (as well - it does not autofocus on your camera).
For your budget all I can suggest is that you buy extensions tubes so you can get really close.
