Problems with Noise?

It feels like I've been getting a lot of "noise" lately in my pictures after I upload them to my computer. I'm not sure what I did to cause this. I have a Nikon D5000, my photographer friend told me to shoot in Raw so I do that. I didn't have this problem before but it seems to be assoiciated with Photoshop maybe?

Well noise is usually due to shooting in higher ISO's ( 3200 and above). Try shooting in ISO 100 - 400 and see if that makes a difference.

Shoot with lowest ISO possible and take pictures in ideal lighting conditions only.

Correct exposure Is also important and shooting raw with even a little overexposure can help. And of course, keep your iso as low as possible…
