NIkon D5100 help? Folder?

So I was wondering if I make a locked folder ON my camera? I'm going out with some friends and taking my camera and I don't want them going through and looking at my photos. Is there a way i can lock them in a folder or something?

I'm entering a school competition and the theme is Norfolk: A changing landscape, I will take these photos with my DSLR I'm getting on Monday (Nikon D3100 with an 18-55mm and 70-300mm) I'm planning to use my 18-55mm lens and the photo needs to be in by the 10th November, anyone from Norfolk please give me some good places to go and can someone please tell me what A changing landscape might be? I'm year 8 and by far the best photographer in the school.

35mm vs 50mm fixed lens?

So I'm buying the nikon d7000, with a fixed lens. I just can't decide whether I want the 35 mm or the 50 mm… I'm going to use it as an all around lens until I can buy a tele-zoom. Which one would work better?

Full frame lens on a dx body ok?

I just bought a Nikon - 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED-IF AF-S VR Telephoto Lens
without realizing (foolishly) that it's made for an FX camera body and all I have is a DX body (D3200).
Took it out for a test last night and I like it! A lot!
However, would the 55-300mm for DX be a better choice? It's much cheaper. Would the photo quality be any different? Is the more expensive lens a better choice overall because it has better glass or a bigger filter or what?
"Wow me" with your camera knowledge because I have less then a year at this photographic habit and I'm still learning (everyday!).

How to reduce the number of focus points on my Nikon D5100?

I don't want 11 for now, just three: Left, right, and center.

I think I may be inept at Googling:/

Added (1). I don't think the people here are amateurs; we have all sorts of people here who are good at all sorts of things. What makes you think only amateurs browse Q & A websites? Sad.
