I need to upgrade my Portrait with Nikon D5000 such as using a prime lens 50mm 1.8.
Do you think i have to use better body such as Nikon D7000 which has better sensor.
Nikon D7000 now cost about $1100 but in ebay with positive rating 99.1% now cost $900 but i'm affraid of the increasing No.of defects and loss of reliability by buying from ebay.
Added (1). I need to get sharper images with better contrast.
What is the better camera to get?
I'm looking into getting my first "professional" camera and I'm not sure what one is better. The Nikon D3000 or the Canon Rebel t3i? In general, is nikon or canon a better camera? I'm going to be using it for photography not so much videos. Any opinions and such would be helpful.
What macro photography lens to get?
Right i'm 15 and still would consider myself quite a novice in the camera department but i have a nikon D5100 and i'm really into macro photography and extreme close ups of things and before now I have been using macro filters that screw on which were good enough when I had my D40 but now I've upgraded i'm looking for a decent lens that will do the job and hopefully not be too expensive

I'm looking to buy the 55-300mm Nikon Nikkor lens for my Nikon D5100.
I will mostly be using it for action shots of horses and sometimes other animals, not professionally, but i do want good, clear and un blurred pictures. But obviously need a lens with a good zoom because i can't always be as close as i need to be when photographing the animals.
Is this lens any good for this?
How to photograph a chocolate shop?
My friend has asked me to help him out by photographing his chocolate shop for his website.i'm only a keen amateur at the moment.i've been asked to help him as he has been given a deadline for monday the 3rd to get the pictures to the website designer and ther's not enough time or money to get a pro in. I know the basic do's and don'ts (e.g remove clutter from the picture etc.) but i could really do with some help to give me some other ideas. He wants me to photgraph things like chocolates that are un-boxed and also boxed goods aswell. Any help really apreciated!

Suddenly my Nikon D80 digital SLR does not do flash anymore. The flash unit is built-in. If light levels are low the flash unit pops up, and a small white light shows (this is for auto-focusing I guess). But if the shutter programme shows a flash symbol the shutter will not activate. If the shutter programme does not show a flash symbol then the shutter activates as normal. I guess the flash bulb might have burnt out, or is there a secret setting that might turn the flash back on?
Looking for a good camera for sports
I want to take photos of live sporting events, and want a camera that i can just hold down the trigger and it will keep taking photos, i don't want to spend too much over 500.

I'm a beginner at photography and a couple months ago got the Nikon D3100. I really love taking pictures of people, usually waist up. I would love a new lens that really helped me taking the best quality pictures of people possible. Preferably with auto and manual focus. Know any lenses I could look at?
