Opinions on my photography please?
I'm a 17 year old girl that's been very interested in photography for a while (not to say i'm any good at it, its just a hobby of mine) I have a Nikon D60 that i borrow from college to take pictures with as i do photography at A-level. I've never been overly confident with anything I do but i'd just like to ask people what they think of my images so far, I haven't uploaded many images yet as i've only just made a flickr page for my pictures and i don't understand flickr much. Constructive criticism is appreciated but please don't be horrible, it would mean a lot to me if you could have a look at my page just search Stephanie Adele Photography on flickr and offer some support/advice/opinions on things and maybe point me in the right direction? Thank you all so much in advance
Added (1). Links never usually post fully that's why i didn't but it's- flickr.com/photos/stephanieadelephotogra…
I suggest you join an actual art site, such as www. DeviantART.com. There are lots of professionals there who will give you pointers.
Nobody on here is going to go through that much work to find your photos and critique them. I'd suggest adding some details with a link to your page.
Post a URL link to your Flickr page & then you might get some constructive comments.
Edit: ok, now seen you link!
Compositionally, a mixed bag - on some you have avoided the mistake of putting the subject dead centre & the overall feel of the image is better, however, with several of the horse show shots you have chopped off hooves or riders at odd places - you need to either get the whole lot in, or frame appropriately, concentrating on a specific feature (like you have with the horse's eye shot). With the pigeon, you have placed in dea centre - leading to a more 'static' composition.
Exposure/focus wise, they're ok & what I would expect of a reasonable DSLR on Auto. But why are you shooting everything (that I looked at anyway) on Auto? I would be expecting an A level student to be more creative & shooting in manual (or to at least understand the principles of doing so).
I would also agree that the watermark across your images is unnecessary and distracting. I'm not a fan of the heavy vignetting either that you have post processed onto a couple of images.
It's a bunch of snapshots of horses. There's nothing special about snapshots of horses. Advice: Don't put a watermark on a snapshot. Why? You'll embarrass yourself pretending to be a real photographer.
