Nothing hpapens when i plug camera in?

I tried plugging my nikon d3200 into my macbook air to upload some photos but nothing happens, when i open iphoto it doesn't show my camera in there. I need to upload these photos soon… If this helps i plugged the Usb port into a different computer today and it worked, this may have something to do with it?

Go out and buy a cheap USB card reader and use that to connect your camera's memory card directly to your computer's USB slot. When recognized, use Finder to do the copying for absolute total control over what goes where exactly. This method eliminates all camera to computer connection problems and is the only recommended way by computer experts. With Windows, use Windows Explorer instead of the Mac Finder.

Yes. I've heard lots of noise about problems with cameras and apple computers… Actually mac doesn't work very well photos, at least from what I'm hearing.

Try an external usb card reader… It may work, may not. You also might want to consider a windows computer… I currently work with windows 7 but have had a long line of windows computers and have never had a single problem with cameras or photos.
