Nikon or Canon Dslr guidance needed?
A new digital slr for the holidays would be nice, that's why it's number one on wish list. I'm looking for a dslr for around $800. I always wanted the Canon eos rebel t2i but now that the Nikon D5100 is out i'm not sure any more. I have a few in mind Canons- T2i, T3, T3i Nikons- D3100, D5000, D5100. What do you think, any suggestions? Which should I consider getting? Which Lenses? This will be my first Dslr
Added (1). Right now its between T2i and Nikon D5100. Which is better?
First, with that budget, lenses are out of the question. The t2i is about $750 with a kit lens at
18-55. However it's an excellent camera.
I own two Rebel dslr cameras and both are just exactly what I want in a camera. I have a t1i which does the same video as the t2i and it's quite good actually.

If you want to buy a different lens from the 18-55mm kit lens, get the body only then use the same site to window shop for a lens. Take note that there are models in that list that already has two kit lenses. Take note too that not all of those models are black. OK, last note, 2-digit Sony alphas aren't dSLRs but SLTs. Totally different.
Out of T2i and D5100 you should get T3i lol. T3i is only a tad more than D5100, if you r gonna invest your $$ on DSLR why not go for the best one, think of the long run. You buy less featured DSLR now only to regret later on when you need that feature. If you r really on a tight budget, then go for D3100 or T3, they're both decent beginners DSLR.
