Nikon Lens broke, need advice on what to get?

I had the 18-55 mm Nikkor lens for my D50 camera and it broke. I'm now on Kijiji trying to find another one, but there are so many letters and numbers it makes it confusing when I'm not sure what they mean. So, just give me any information you have and advice!

Best would just get another 18-55mm lens

another good possibility would be the 18-200mm.
