Nikon D90 and Vivitar lens. Adapter

I was given 2 vivitar and a canon lens from an old film camera. I would love to use them on my D90 but I have no knowledge of adapter rings. The first is a 52mm Vivitar 75 to 205mm 1:3.8-4.8 MC macro focusing zoom. The second is a vivitar 62 mm skylight (1a) 28 to 85 mm 1:3.5-4.5 macro focusing zoom. And the Canon is a FD 50mm 1: 1.8. I tried to look these up but I really wasn't understanding what I was reading so if anyone could help me I'd be very grateful!

There are FD-mount to Nikon-mount adapters available, but you'll loose in-camera metering, so don't bother. Just buy some Nikon lenses or a Canon FD-mount SLR.

You're looking at the wrong end.

If these lenses came from the same camera, then the Vivitars, like the Canon, will be in Canon FD mount.

While it's technically possible to adapt them to fit a Nikon (you can forget using them on a modern Canon), it just isn't worth the hassle.

It may be possible to change the mount of the Vivitar if it uses a T-mount. If not, you would be better off selling them to get funds for old Nikon F-mount lenses.

These are cheap lenses of no special quality except maybe the 50mm. There's some adapters but you'd end up in manual mode only and you'd pay more than these lenses are worth.
