Nikon D7000 Microphone Specs?

There's no detail on the monaural mic built into the D7000. I know it's not great but I would like to get to know my camera a bit more.
So the question is,
What is the decibel range of the mic?
and
What is the frequency range?

As far as I know the frequency range 150 - 5, 000 Hz
I'm not sure about decibel range
For recording you you need external mic.

I'm nikon fan but for video recording I will recommend Canon system Canon 5D Mark II is great.

I don't think there's any info out there on the db range of the D7000's microphone, and it would be pretty pointless anyhow. Like every other DSLR that shoots video, if you use the built in mic you'll hear the camera working, focus, zoom and handling noise is all there. So if you want to record decent video with audio you'll at least need a mic that sits on a noise cushioned boom/extension. Ideally if you want high quality audio you'll use a separate device to record this and then sync it during production.
