Nikon d5100 with what lenses?

So I have a Nikon d5100 with 18-55mm lenses. I was wondering what lens would make my picture better and give her the 'professional' look. I have my eye on the 50mm 1.4 and 50mm 1.8 but I'm not sure which one is more profitable, also if you have any other suggestions for lenses just say. I like bokeh that the 50mm gives to the picture. Which lenses do the similar thing?

A professional pictures comes from a person that knows the fundamentals of photography- and executes them with excellence. Any nikkor lens can give you professional results, but it all depends on how you use it.
both 50mm lenses are very good. The 1.4 version has a better build, and if I were to get a 50mm, that is the one I would get.
now as to what lenses you should get, that depends on the need. Unless you need, or really want a lens to do a certain type of photography, you really have no justification to get a lens, especially since you have no idea what you are going to do with it.
Bokeh is controlled by aperture.a larger aperture, the shallower the Depth of Field (or Bokeh), and the blurrier the background.
the 50mm is good for head and shoulder portraits, but for general photography, it is too narrow. The 35mm f/1.8 is another good lens, better for general photography.

There's no such thing as a lens (or any equipment) that will give you a professional looking photo. You have to be a good photographer. I suggest you just stick with your 18-55 for a while.
