Nikon D5100 Camera flasher tube(bulb) replacement?

I want to replace the built in flash tube(bulb) of my nikon D5100 Camera. I couldn't find that bulb i asked for that bulb from a seller and he sed me that the bulb of D90 camera is The same one. If i use that one is that will be a problem for my camera?

If it still worked while it was in the camera, then it was not burned out.

Make sure that you to NOT touch the new flash bulb when you install it.

Can you explain how to discharge this?
and how can i check the bulb whether it is burnt or not?
