Nikon d3100 can it be use wireless with sb700 flasher?

I have a nikon d3100 and a sb700 flasher can they be use together wireless without having to buy an extra accessorie I heard that for nikon model d7000 you can do it

You have to have something to transmit the signal from the camera and a receiver to collect it and then tell the flash to fire. Those things cost money. Then there's the tripod to hold the flash and one for your camera. If the transmitter and receiver match to the flash yes.

First off, it's flash or speedlight, not flasher.

The D3100 can't do this though, as it does not support Nikon CLS (the technology that the D90 and D7000 use to accomplish this), and the SB-700 does not support optical slave modes either to be triggered by the popup flash of other cameras that do not support CLS.

You'll need either a cord (not wireless then anymore, obviously), or radio triggers. Consider the Yongnuo RF-602 radio triggers, they have a pretty good reputation. You'll have to set the flash power output manually then though, it won't support TTL that way.

No, you can use a cord
