Nikon D50, won't save photos?

I've had my Nikon d50 camera for a couple of months, and it has been working great! But, all of a sudden it is acting weird. I can take the photo, it flashes and makes the click noise, but when I go to review it it isn't in the list of photos. I've tried everything from deleting all of the images on the SD Card, to changing SD cards.

Try formatting the memory card using the format function in the camera.

I agree sounds like a memory card problem to me. Try to format it. If that fails best replace the card.

In any case, buying a couple of extra cards won't hurt.

Multiple SD cards don't work. First, look down in the card slot. See anything but clean wires and the slot? Remove any debris. I had a Sony memory card disintegrate on me, couldn't get all the debris out and have sent my D90 off to be repaired.

Next it is probably the camera or what the operator is doing to the camera. Start with the two button reset as described on page 50 of your manual. If no success, start the repair process with Nikon.
